Lecture: Rescue of the Crew of the Submarine USS SQUALUS

In 1939, USS Squalus (SS-192), America’s newest submarine, plunged into the North Atlantic. Miraculously, thirty-three crew members survived. CAPT Vance Morrison, USN(Ret.), Commander General – Elect, Naval Order of the US, will tell the story of the first successful rescue of survivors of a US Submarine sinking.
